This video makes a comparison of Hypervibe G10 vs JTX 6000 whole body vibration machines. The independent comparison is done by Dave Mott an experienced physiotherapist that uses whole body vibration machines in his practice. He has firsthand experience with patients to determine the effectiveness of various WBV machines. He does some specific tests and determines the G10 Mini by Hypervibe is the best whole body vibration machine of the two.
[Transcription] My name is Dave Mott. I’m a chartered physiotherapist and my business is physio fitness based on the south coast in Dorset. I’ve had 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist and have had 10 of those years working with vibration platforms like these. It can be important today to understand the differences between the machines because some will work well and some not quite so well.
Whole body vibration is really important in terms of looking at relaxation of muscle, flexibility, muscle tone, muscle mass and bone density. In order to achieve these, we’re looking at g-force and what g-forces these machines can produce. Without significant g-force we’re not going to get the results that we want to achieve.
Hypervibe G10 Mini vs JTX 6000 Testing
We’ve been doing some testing today and I’m going to introduce some independent testers that have been in and done some vibration testing on these machines. To test g-force on them can I introduce Chris and Mike. So we’re gonna have a look at the JTX 6000 machine. Okay thank you guys. Now just have a look at the Hypervibe. Okay thank you guys. For Mike and Chris’s independent testing the JTX 6000 provides a maximum of 2.75 G’s.
With the Hypervibe G10 Mini we were able to achieve 10.1 G’s, more than three times our g-force of the JTX 6000.
So what we’ve established is the g-force that’s produced from these machines are quite different. We need to achieve a certain g-force to get positive effects to the muscles and bones in the body. This is where the Hypervibe because the g-force is much higher than most machines that we’ve seen. Certainly much higher than a JTX 6000.
So here we have the JTX 6000 that has two different types of movements. One which is side alternating and the other which has a horizontal movement. It’s important to note here that the horizontal movements research has shown, does not really have an effect on g-force. Now g-force is really important here. Even the side alternating movement doesn’t produce a significant enough g-force to really get muscle contraction working whereas the Hypervibe without a doubt does. There’s no side to the side movement which means that it’s all vertical and it’s vertical that gives the g-force.
The way that these machines are switched on the JTX 6000 has a panel on the top here which is quite basic fairly easy to do fairly straightforward, but it goes in speeds. So we can take this up to 99. It doesn’t really tell us anything about frequency doesn’t tell us anything about g-force. And we know from the testing that the g-forces with this machine don’t hit the right readings for muscle contraction and that is the key thing here.
So the Hypervibe G10 Mini we have a really nice little app that tells us what frequency is working out. And depending on your foot position that dictates the amplitude and therefore we can work out the g-force which it tells you on the actual app. So, we know exactly what g-force you’re working at, a very clever little app.
In summary, it’s the g-force that’s the key thing here. This Hypervibe utilizes g-force significantly enough to really help with muscle contraction a muscle force and therefore bone density issues.
If I’m gonna take a machine home it’s definitely going to be the Hypervibe G10 Mini!
